Preschool to Kindergarten

"Grow [up] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18)

This is our theme verse for The Growing Place, the center of HCC's ministry to and for children from infancy through Kindergarten.

One of our goals is to help children feel a sense of belonging to a church family and to insure each child feels welcome and wanted.

In HCC's Preschool Children's Church, we do this with a permanent teaching team for each age group. Our teachers learn the names of the children in their class, look forward to seeing them, and welcome them eagerly each week.

Our rooms are painted in fun, inviting colors and have sensory activities for children to do as they walk to and from class with their parents.

Each Sunday the volunteer teachers use Bible-based curriculum to plant the seeds of God's Word in young children's hearts.

Children engage in active praise and worship. We sing songs that are fun and have actions but are also teaching children how to worship God with their whole heart.

Giving of our money is also emphasized during offering time. With this age group we use all the money that is given for missions. We send it to missionaries around the world so they can tell children in other countries about Jesus.

Small-group discipleship called, Transformation Station, is available for this age group.

Each Wednesday night, during the school year, from 7:00 - 8:30pm, we encourage children in their spiritual growth, disciple them, teach them to be like Jesus, and help them build healthy friendships with children and adults.

Classes are available for potty-trained 3 year olds, 4 year olds and Kindergarteners.
